‘On the Fringe’ is proud to present it’s very own ‘Guitar Night’.
Wether you are a keen player or just enjoy listening to raw talent all are welcome.
The stage is set, the mic is on and all are welcome to take to the stage, no matter what level of experience / style of music/ be it covers or original songs.

We provided the PA and lighting and you provide the talent! Come and share your skills and meet some great local musicians.If your an audience member – come and enjoy a nice drink, sit back by the open fire and be entertained by some great live music.

Performance poetry - 2nd Monday of every month
Performance Poetry creates an oppertunity for budding poets and poetry lovers alike to enjoy a full evening of varied Poetry. Wether you write your own poetry or have a favourite poet that you enjoy all are welcome to take to the stage. With our cozy and inviting atmoshphere, coal fires and candle lit surroundings, enjoy a drink as an audience member or get up on the stage and showcase your talents.
‘An open Mic night with a difference’.Hosted by local poet Marianne Price – As a poet Marianne has been writing and performing her poetry since her teens and has given many readings of her work including open air performances in London and here in the North West where she is now based. She was presented with the ‘Borders Bookshop Award’ in London for her works on their ‘Short Cut’ Season, she was commisioned to write a poem for the animal charity ‘The Wood Green Shelter’ and penned ‘Give me Shelter’. Also Marianne was the runner up the the highly compettive ‘Sheba Cat Poetry Competition’. Not to mention her Ten West End Musical Theatre credits as a Singer and Actress – including playing ‘Sandy’ in the Origional London Theatre production of ‘Grease’ alongside Richard Gere. Her poetry is extremely diverse and she writes from the heart from a life that has been full of a variety of experiences.

Hosted by the Writers Circle ‘Fringe Poets’ is a support group for all budding poets and poetry lovers. Be it that you have a piece of writing you would like critiqued or just like to share. Exchange ideas and take inspiration from other poets or just sit back, relax and enjoy watching new works being developed. There’s something for everyone – writers and audience members alike.
